INIFD Bhubaneswar is thrilled to announce that Tulasi Tenamiru Hembram, a student of the Post Graduate Program in Fashion Design has achieved marvelous victory as she won the Design Fest- Lakme Fashion Week (Zonal Level) & would be showcasing her Garment Design at India’s Premier & Biggest Fashion Event- Lakme Fashion Week 2022. Hailing from a small town named Mayurbhanj in Odisha, the only career that she ever aspired of was to become a Fashion Designer. After completing her matriculation from Berhampur and High School from Mahatma Gandhi Mahavidyalaya, she went on to complete her graduation in Arts. But she found her dreams shaping into reality only when she enrolled herself at INIFD Bhubaneswar. She pours gratitude to her faculties for making her competent and INIFD Bhubaneswar for giving this platform which is going to be one of the biggest highlights in her career.

Zonal Selection Of INIFDians To Showcase At Lakmé Fashion Week

Celebrating Fashion And Interior Design On One Unique Platform During A Virtual Event ‘The Design Festival’ By INIFD – The Largest Global Network Of Design Institutes And RISE Worldwide. INIFD Bhubaneswar’s Fashion & Interior Design Students Participated In The Zonal Selection To Showcase At The Upcoming Lakmé Fashion Week – India’s Premier Fashion And Lifestyle Event.

The opportunity gets even bigger this season as 25 INIFD Design Winners will be selected from 5 zones. The selected Fashion Design students will get an exclusive opportunity to showcase at ‘INIFD Launchpad’ show during Lakmé Fashion Week and the selected Interior Design students get a chance to design sets of designer shows at Lakme Fashion Week in March 2022. Each winner will be rewarded with a cash prize along with a mentorship under the design experts from the rise worldwide.

The design concept for the selection, INIFD students had to pick their favorite movie or OTT series or a character from either one of them. Fashion Design students had to take inspiration to design a collection and the interior design students had to get inspired to interpret the set design and translate it with their own aesthetics.

The excitement of students grew exponentially when they came to know that the opportunity is bigger than ever and this led to higher motivation amongst them and the same was reflected in their performance. Student participation was elevated to a new level and experienced 600 plus participants. They portrayed best of their talent and creativity at ‘The Design Festival: Season 6’

– A series of nationwide ‘Live Virtual’ event where different Panel of Experts were judging the design entries of students.

The jury panels comprising eminent Industry experts were extremely impressed by the design presentation given by the INIFD Fashion and Interior Design students. They were overwhelmed with the energy and enthusiasm with which the students came forward and showcased their creativity.
